Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies (IGS) invites students to think and work across disciplinary boundaries. At the UBC Okanagan campus, IGS programs are greatly facilitated by the small campus size, which allows students to work more intimately with faculty across a variety of departments and disciplines.

The program is organized into Themes that ensure students learn together in a cohort and enjoy a coherent program of study. Current themes include:

  • Community Engagement, Social Change and Equity
  • Digital Arts and Humanities
  • Global Studies
  • Power, Conflict and Ideas
  • Sustainability
  • Urban & Regional Studies

Under extraordinary circumstances, an individualized option is available for PhD students only. See Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies.
