Position Description

In this three week placement you have an opportunity to participate in daily practice alongside lead educator Jon Karpol, ECE. You will experience different methods to guiding early learners during a typical half day program, and ultimately design and implement fun and engaging activity linked to the BC Early Learning Framework.

Over the first week, you will become familiar with the program and discuss with Jon how you would like your work to look/what would be of value in practice. It can be produced in various mediums including (but not limited to) infographic posters for parent education, walking story, group game, etc. Part of your time during this placement will be remote working, including reading material.

We request you be onsite at Treehouse at 9:00am Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. The Preschool program starts at 9:00am and ends at 11:30. Daily time for discussion and wrap up with your supervisor will vary, and you can be on your way to your reading material and/or a computer.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, your practicum will be held at The Clubhouse Farm from 8:30am to 2:00pm.
