Faculty of Education students win Okanagan Historical Society Video Contest

Okanagan Historical Society Video awards Matthew Burke and Chelsea Sladen for their archival movies

Faculty of Education students, Matthew Burke and Chelsea Sladen, were awarded 500 dollars for their archival movies, The Keremos Grist Mill and Kelowna’s Early Chinatown. Each year the Okanagan Historical Society (OHS) video contest searches for videos which depict the rich history of the Okanagan. Post-secondary students are encouraged to work with local archive collections to gather and present their research.
