Biography
From 2005 to December 2015, Dr. Peter Arthur was the Founding Director of the University of British Columbia Okanagan’s Centre for Teaching and Learning. As Director Dr. Arthur led a team dedicated to leading and supporting teaching and Learning excellence on the University of British Columbia Okanagan campus. He provided leadership and strategic direction with a particular focus on building an evidence-based teaching and learning culture.
Since 2005, Dr. Arthur has worked extensively as an elected member on UBC Okanagan’s Senate, the Council of Senates and the Council of Senates Budget Committee (Member, 2005-Present; Chair 2010-2013, 2020 – present). Additionally, he chaired numerous Senate Committees: Senate Learning and Research Committee (2005 – 2017), Senate Agenda Committee (2017 – 2020), Senate Curriculum Committee (2014 – 2020) and Academic Buildings and Resources Committee (2010-2013, 2020 – present).
