Podcasting in the classroom

Description

Using podcasts in the classroom gives opportunities for students to share their learning in an engaging and authentic format. Podcasting gives students the ability to practice and perfect their oral language skills in a low-risk environment. The project is a website that gives information on what podcasts are, how they can be used in the classroom and what equipment is needed to bring podcasting to life in the classroom

Student Biography

I became a teacher in 2000 and went to Taiwan to teach for 6 years. I returned to Canada and began teaching in SD22 in a variety of areas, mostly at the intermediate elementary levels. My passion in teaching is bringing technology into the curriculum to help engage my students and to help them become digital producers.
