Position Description
We have 2 parts to this experience to highlight the two streams of volunteering within our organization – sport and administrative. For the sport side, the candidate will be able to work with athletes with an intellectual disability at the sports of the students choosing. At these sports, the head coach will let the student know what their tasks are for the hour session. Usually, our program volunteers are just there to support the supervision of athletes and encourage them throughout! For the administrative side, the students will be working with the Kelowna Local Committee to support with admin pieces like athlete/volunteer recruitment, communication or fundraising strategies. These are based on the skills of the student and what areas we’re needing support in.
