Position Description
This CFE experience will have teacher candidates exploring and developing their K-5 music and drama pedagogy in a low-risk environment. Activities and experiences include building classroom repertoire, games, assessments, and management strategies. The SRE community serves a diverse population and as such, there are a lot of learning opportunities to build empathy, differentiated practices, and community building experiences. A bonus of this school is that the class sizes are generally smaller than other schools and each classroom has at least 1 EA. Given the supports available, this would be a great school for teacher candidates to try their hand at something out of their comfort zone.
Organization Information
South Rutland Elementary is a wonderful and inclusive community-based school. Grade K-5 Music/Drama is open for any practicum students that are looking to bolster and build their arts curriculum, assessment, and classroom management.
