Education Program Assistant
Theme: Science Education
May is a busy and exciting time at the Okanagan Science Centre! We visit schools to deliver science programs, have classes come visit us for field trips and hands-on science, deliver weekly homeschool programs, are starting to plan for our summer camps, and more! During the CFE, teacher candidates will have the opportunity to develop and revise curricula for our school programs, homeschool programs, outreach, and/or summer camps. Additionally, teacher candidates will gain STEM-based teaching experience at the centre or in the field alongside our programming staff. We are also opening up a new science centre in Lake Country this year and teacher candidates may be involved with creating programming for older students and helping us to maximize the potential of this new space.
|Expected hours||Monday or Tuesday to Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.(schedule will be determined closer to the time and will depend on our bookings)|
