Outdoor Education Assistant

Position Description
In this three week placement you have an opportunity to assist with program delivery. This is an outdoor program so please come dressed for whatever the weather may hold. There will be an element of farm work involved, so bring your favorite gloves, hat, sturdy shoes and a bottle of water. You’ll become familiar with the nature-and-farm-based program, then contribute to developing curriculum in this non-traditional learning environment that can be put into practice in short tests. While working with the children, you’ll practice different ways to engage a large group, redirect behaviors, comfort, encourage and support children in their learning about the world around them.

Organization Information
The Clubhouse Farm is our outdoor classroom. We host daycare, preschool and school age programming year round. Nearly 1500 children a year visit to garden, create, play, bake, and learn.
