Position Description
Teacher candidates assigned to this program will be tasked with creating relationships with our learners, preparing and implementing experiential experiences, and collaborating with program staff. Teacher candidates will have the opportunity to take a personal passion and bring it alive as an ‘In-Situ’ learning experience for our students. Teacher candidates to take risks in a supportive learning environment.
Organization Information
AIAO provides rich learning opportunities that are rooted in place and nature based educational practices. We are often learning on and from the land and work with local Indigenous groups to authentically weave Indigenous ways of being and knowing in to our program.
We collaborate with various business and mentors throughout the Okanagan to engage our students in a variety of experiential learning opportunities. We acknowledge that learning and understanding occur in many ways, not just within the classroom, and incorporate this philosophy into our way of learning.
