Biography

Colombe Cormier is the French Pathways Advisor in the Bachelor of Education program at the Faculty of Education’s Okanagan Campus, University of British Columbia. With several decades of experience in education including 30 years of teaching in New Brunswick. She brings solid pedagogical expertise and a commitment to supporting the success of future teachers. In her role as an advisor, Colombe helps students navigate their academic paths, explore opportunities in French-language education, and develop the skills necessary to thrive in diverse learning environments. Passionate about languages, she believes that exposure to a variety of accents and linguistic contexts enriches understanding and builds confidence.

Colombe loves spending time in nature, whether hiking, cycling, or camping. She recognizes that nature is how she recharges and is grateful to be able to take advantage of it regularly to maintain her work-life balance. Colombe is jovial and positive by nature; she is constantly looking for ways to approach life in a light and playful way.
