Biography
Anita Veal is an experienced and dedicated Lecturer in UBC Okanagan’s School of Education and in the Department of English an Cultural Studies. She has been teaching ESL/English for Academic Purposes/English Composition since 2010, and taught at a variety of post-secondary institutions, private schools, and not-for profit organizations.
Anita has experience teaching multilingual learners, specializing in EAP instruction/English composition, curriculum development, and student-centered pedagogy, with a focus on cross-cultural learning and intercultural communication. Her current work emphasizes multimodal learning pedagogy and employs interactive, inclusive strategies to support diverse learners in developing critical academic and language skills
