Description

This project aims to provide teachers with Social Studies lesson plans, complete with all necessary resources, that will help students develop disciplinary History education skills and examine the complexities of living in a multicultural society. It draws on knowledge from teachers around the world who have worked to help their students recognize, address, and thrive in complex multicultural societies. The related literature, lessons, and resources presented are also rooted in disciplinary History education skills to help students become more critical of the information they consume and aware of how knowledge and society are constructed. Each lesson is made to be supplemental to the British Columbia Social Studies 10 curriculum.

I taught overseas for years and hope that my students will one day appreciate and treasure the sheer amount of different stories that exist in every place around the world.
